Hoya

Hoya are creepers, vines and sometimes shrubs. In the wild, they often grow epiphytically on trees, though some grow directly from the earth or sometimes even rocks. They climb by twining and growing air roots. There are many different leaf shapes.  Most Hoya are succulent.  Their flowers appear in clusters at the tip of peduncles. The flowers are usually star shaped, waxy, colorful, and have a star-shaped corona in their center.  Most Hoya make excellent house plants, though some are harder to figure out than others.
